Type 2 diabetes

With type 2, food, walks and medication explain almost everything

GlucoBeat relates every meal, every walk and every pill to your sensor glucose and shows you what repeats in your own data: how much you rose with that dish, how long it took to come back and what changed the times you walked afterwards.

Why it fits type 2

Without rapid insulin in the picture, the response to a meal is cleaner to read. That makes comparisons in your data especially clear.

Your usual response to each dish

The same dish several times: median rise, usual range, time to peak and what happened the times you walked afterwards. With its n and its confidence, no AI.

Medication as one more event

You log metformin or the GLP-1 with one tap, with reminders at your time. So medication sits on the same timeline as meals and exercise.

How would eating this affect me?

Before eating, what happened in your diary with similar meals and, if you want, an AI estimate with a range from your glucose right now.

A report for your appointment

One page with time in range, variability, GMI and AGP at the top, and what repeats in your diary below. Free and no AI.

What it looks like in the app

An ordinary day, your latest meals with their rise, the meals you repeat and your medication with its reminder. All with example data.

Everything you need to understand yourself

Your usual response

The same dish, seven times: median rise, usual range, time to peak and what changed the times you walked afterwards. With its n and its confidence.

How would this affect me?

Type what you fancy: first what happened in your diary with similar meals and, if you want, an AI estimate with a range and what tends to make a difference.

A report for your appointment

One page: time in range, variability, GMI and AGP at the top; what repeats in your diary below. Free, to take to your doctor.

Don't forget your medication

Daily, weekly or fortnightly reminders, at the time you choose. And tapping the notification opens the entry ready to go: all you do is save it.

Share without losing control

Give read-only access to family or your doctor, for as long as you want. Revoke it any time.

Statistics that matter

Time in range, variability, GMI, lows, AGP profile and comparison with the previous period.

What a repeated meal looks like

Associations in your data, not causes: food, medication, sleep and time of day all act on your glucose at once.

What GlucoBeat does not do

  • It is not a medical device: it does not diagnose, give doses or change any treatment. That is your care team's job.
  • It does not alert on values and does not work in real time: your sensor and its app do that. GlucoBeat shows you the evolution and what goes with it.
  • It does not predict: every figure describes what happened in your data, with how many times it was seen, in what range and with what confidence.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a sensor?

No. With FreeStyle Libre your readings arrive on their own (via LibreLinkUp or by importing the LibreView CSV) and the response to each meal comes out complete. With a strip meter you can log your readings by hand.

Is it useful if I don't inject insulin?

Yes, and it is actually the cleanest case: without rapid insulin, what happens after a meal is mostly down to the food, the exercise and the medication.

Does it tell me what I can eat?

No. It shows you what happened in your diary with similar meals and, if you ask, an estimate with a range. What you eat is your decision, with your care team.

How much does it cost?

The diary, charts, statistics, usual response, report and sharing are free forever. The paid plans widen the limits, such as those of the AI or experiments.
