Your FreeStyle Libre data, but knowing why
The sensor tells you how much glucose you have. GlucoBeat tells you what put it there. Bring in your FreeStyle Libre readings, log what you do, and see the effect of every meal, every walk and every dose. Free.
Two ways to bring your readings in
Both use your own Abbott data. Start with one and add the other whenever you like.
LibreLinkUp: it syncs on its own
LibreLinkUp is Abbott's feature for sharing your readings with whoever you choose. If you share with yourself, GlucoBeat receives new readings every few minutes and you never have to remember anything again.
- In the FreeStyle Libre app, invite a carer using an email of yours.
- Accept the invitation in LibreLinkUp with that email.
- In GlucoBeat, Settings → Integrations, enter those LibreLinkUp credentials.
It's in beta: it's an Abbott feature and can change without notice. If it stops bringing data in, we'll tell you.
The LibreView CSV: your full history
LibreView lets you download your whole history as a file. It's Abbott's official route, it doesn't depend on anything else, and it brings in months at once — even from before you knew about GlucoBeat.
- Log in to LibreView and download your report as CSV.
- In GlucoBeat, Settings → Import, drop the file in.
- Repeated data isn't duplicated: you can upload the same CSV twice without worrying.
The file isn't kept: we read the readings and discard it.
What it adds to what you already see
LibreView shows the curve very well. What it can't tell you is why it goes up and why it comes down, because it doesn't know what you did.
Events and consequences
Log a meal, a walk, a dose or a bad night and see what happened over the next few hours: the peak, how much it rose and how long it took to come back.
“Can I eat this?”
Type what you fancy and we'll tell you how much similar meals raised you, based on your own history. It isn't advice: it's your own experience, sorted.
Statistics that make sense
Time in range, variability, GMI, lows and the AGP profile, compared with the previous period so you know whether you're doing better or worse.
Share without losing control
Give read-only access to your family or your medical team for as long as you say, and take it away whenever you want. Who looked is on the record.
Logging costs little
Repeat a previous meal with one tap, and if there's no signal it's saved on your phone and uploaded on its own. From your watch too.
Your data is yours
Servers in the European Union, a full export in one click and permanent deletion whenever you say. AI is optional and only receives an anonymous summary.
And it's free
Everything above is in the free plan: no card, no 14-day trial and no ads. Later there will be a Premium plan with more AI analyses and syncing every minute, but the diary, the statistics and sharing will stay free.
- No card and no trial period.
- No ads and no selling data.
- You can take your data and leave whenever you want.
Questions people ask
Do I need the Abbott sensor to use GlucoBeat?
No. You can enter your readings by hand, wherever they come from. The sensor just saves you work.
Does it work with FreeStyle Libre 2 and 3?
Yes: what matters is that your readings arrive through LibreLinkUp or the LibreView CSV, and both work with the models that support them.
Is GlucoBeat made by Abbott?
No. GlucoBeat has no relationship with Abbott. We use your data with your permission and your own credentials.
Will it tell me how much insulin to take?
Never. GlucoBeat is not a medical device: it doesn't diagnose, adjust treatments or recommend doses. That's your healthcare team's job.
What if I stop using it?
You download all your data in one file and delete your account with email confirmation. There's nobody to write to.
